What is WWW ?

Some people think that WWW and internet are same thing but actually they are different from each other as Internet is network of computers whereas WWW is one of the service of computers. WWW stand for World Wide Web. WWW was invented by Tim Berners Lee in 1989. We can connect to WWW through web browers. Some of the best web browsers are given below :-

Who invented WWW ?

Tim Berners Lee invented WWW in 1989. Sir Timothy John Berners Lee was born on 8 June 1955 also known as TimBL,is an english computer scientist , best known as inventor of the WWW. He was born in London and his parents were early computer scientists , working on one of the earliest computers.After graduating fron Oxford University, Berners Lee became a software engineer at CERN .

Where was www made ?

Berners Lee founded the world wide web consortium at the Laboratory of Computer Science (LCS) at the Massachuseets Institute of Technology in Boston .

Three basic requirements of WWW?

It is difficult to think that how WWW is made ? We have discussed about what is WWW, Who invented it and how it works, but no one thinks that what are the basic requirements to made it. Now I am going to tell you the three basic requirements used by Tim BL to make WWW .

 1. Web browser :- WWW can only be accessed by web browsers. Web browsers can only understand HTML language. The pages on the web browsers are not opened actually they render. Render is a process when we gave material to the machine, machine arrange it and convert it into its language and show the output.

 2. HTTP:- HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. HTTP is used for transfer files from one place to another .

 3. HTML:- HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. HTML is a computer language used to communicate between computer and developer . 

How WWW Works?

Firstly, the clients for example:computer, mobile,laptop etc. are connected with ISP that is internet service provider from where the clients take net pack . Then this ISP  is  connected to internet backbone . Lastly, the internet backbone is further connected to web server, which are placed in different countries. 
   WWW can only be access by web browsers .

Web Structure

WWW looks like a web in which people are connected to each other. If any individual need any information related to one website then that computer will connect with second computer to get the information. But if the second computer is also unable to give information then it will further connect with third computer. If , third computer have the information related to website , it will directly give the information to first computer , but if by chance that computer is also unable to give information it will connect to other computers for the information.
